With any chain of security protocols, from passwords to 2FA double authenticating, the weakest link in the chain that can be infiltrated is the human connection. People are careless and predictable when it comes to passwords, pins and general security. From birthdays to anniversaries, making a password, unless randomised, can be worked out by understanding the person involved. We are not randomised machines; we can’t individually produce a random list of letters or numbers no matter how we try. We, like all living things are pattern based, we see, think, live, move in patterns. To truly separate ourselves from the patterns of life would be to not exist in the current moment, whether we could return from that state would be unlikely.
Everything from the eddy currents of water flowing down a drain, the firing of neurons as ions move across the synaptic gaps in our brains, to the tiniest vibrations of a crystal can be calculated as they all follow a pattern. Everything in our reality that we can know is made up of atoms and the space between them. They vibrate to a frequency changed by their temperature. Grouped together these vibrating molecules have characteristics derived from this vibrating behaviour. Moving further out from atoms to molecules, minerals, solids, plant and animal cells to form the world we live in and the organisms in it. And even further out again to planets and solar systems. All made up of the same components just arranged differently and on different scales of complexity. Even the idea of gravity we think of as caused by planets but that attraction force is in everything around us. It is more easily understood and visualised when felt through the awesome power of a planet but every atom has its force of attraction. Every object attracted to another, only the greater the mass the stronger the pull.
Down the rabbit hole of how everything works together, everything can be predicted as it is all based on the same rule of vibrations and frequencies. This all ties down to our thought patterns, we think ourselves unique, individual and we are, in a simple way, but we too are of the same essence as everything else just more complicated by the number of moving parts involved. In the same way a single bee does not make a hive we are the hive of multiple organisms, bacteria. Even our mitochondria that powers our every cell is not of our original DNA, it is another organism that has its own RNA that we host and work synergistically with.
The argument for consciousness and where it emanates from. Considering our sense of sight for a minute. All the information our eyes send to our brain, of light and edges we perceive, to be masterfully translated to a colourful vision of our surrounding environment. Creating a pattern from the jargon is how our brains have evolved. Could our consciousness be the multiple voices, vibrations of every organism we host, every mitochondrion powering out those life giving adenosine triphosphates. The neurons linking our gut to our brain, the protective bacteria coating our skin, the individual vibrations of every cell that makes us up physically. All together creating a roar of internal noise that we filter down to a thought. And then another and another, a group of thoughts together forming the ego, personality, sense of self.
The cumulation of our lives are a group effort even when we are but one, many organisms create the whole individual.
All this just to create the very complete understanding that we can never be random as this would erode the glue that ties all life and all matter together. So how, you ask, does a computer generate a random code or password? It doesn’t, it just seems random compared to our best attempts. Every computer is based on a quartz crystal, it vibrates at a steady rate to which we use it as a timekeeper so all electronics can sync together in order for data being transferred to make sense. Without which, there wouldn’t be electronics or computers possible in the world. Every calculation a computer makes to result in displaying a letter typed from keyboard to screen, to the computer booting up requires the frequency characteristic of this crystal. So, when a random number is generated, it’s a calculation from a formula upon which is fundamentally based on the frequency of the quartz crystal. This removes the possibility of a truly random event in any way possible in our existence.
Continuing this line of thinking if a person, consciousness or device could tune into the every changing noise of the vibrations around us. Then it could be deemed that they could understand the patterns of all that occurs in that moment. What would it take to be in the moment ahead of this moment? We already know the next moment is a continuation of the pattern from the last moment, making the future predictable but more complicated than we are currently capable of. It’s only a matter of time before this happens, a few more quartz crystals vibrating ahead, a few more moments of time to pass. But time is time, a word we use to help us co-exist, to stay in sync with each other. Careful though, reveal it, understand it, but don’t change the pattern, as time like our minds may unfold without it.
